The Voge 300AC is a naked bike from the Chinese Loncin Group in the quarter-liter class. The claim: premium, but affordable. Is that true? Ride report, photos, specs, price.
- Cool timeless look, good quality
- 400 km range
- Unsuitable for bad weather
The range of Chinese motorcycles in Germany is constantly growing. Some come under the guise of traditional brands like FB Mondial , while others are designed in Europe and built in China, like Brixton . The new Voge brand is Chinese through and through. It belongs to the Loncin Group, one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers in China, and is intended to entice Europeans to ride Chinese motorcycles.
Test drive with the 26 hp engine

Voge sees itself as a premium brand, and that assessment isn’t entirely wrong: Anyone who has spent a few weeks and a few hundred kilometers with the 300AC model will feel that, while not overly powerful with 26 hp , they are overall in good hands. Which is by no means a given, given the price.
The Voge 300AC, with its pleasing retro look and many modern accessories, covers the basic motorization needs of two-wheeled riding. 19 kW/26 hp is enough for a top speed of just under 130 km/h, and with consistent gear revving at the start of a traffic light, the acceleration is sufficient to defend the lead, which the bike’s maneuverability had previously made it to, when the light turns green. Even over country roads, it’s fast enough to be able to ride at the front. You don’t have to stop to refuel often: the relatively large 15-liter tank is enough for 400 kilometers, given the moderate thirst of an average of 3.5 liters of E 10 fuel.
Good chassis, easy handling

The little Voge is also a joy to ride in terms of its chassis: It corners effortlessly and stays on course without a hitch. The upside-down fork, just 3.5 centimeters thick, performs flawlessly thanks to its well -tuned setup . The braking system, with a double disc in the front wheel and a single disc in the rear, as well as Bosch ABS, is powerful and always decelerates reliably. At 170 kilograms, the Voge 300AC is no testament to lightweight construction. Instead, it delivers a solid ride; nothing wobbles or rattles. The gearshift and clutch are equally impressive, and the elasticity of the small four-valve single-cylinder engine is particularly impressive . 2,000 rpm are sufficient in the lower gears, and 2,500 rpm in the upper gears for smooth acceleration. In light traffic or in very limited speed zones, this setup is ideal for nerve-free progress. The relatively low noise level is also pleasant: the engine and exhaust system aren’t annoying even at high revs, and in the midrange, the small single-cylinder engine sounds surprisingly mature thanks to its bass-emphasized presence. The well-designed ergonomics are a great advantage. The seating position is suitable for people from 1.60 to 1.85 meters tall. The handlebars are perfectly positioned, the knee grip is good, and foot contact with the ground is easy. Thanks to its easy accessibility, the Voge 300AC places minimal demands on its drivers – not when maneuvering, driving slowly, or parking. The maintenance intervals are surprisingly long at 10,000 kilometers, although the recommended one-year cycle will probably be more relevant for most users. So, no flaws or defects at all? Not entirely. On wet roads, the short, completely exposed rear end means you get caught in the spray, getting thoroughly wet and dirty. Also, carrying a second person on longer journeys is uncomfortable due to the small second seat. A luggage rack isn’t even offered.
Cool look, good features
For a modest price, the Voge 300AC offers not only a sleek exterior, but also solid qualities, including good technical features (LED lights all around, double front disc, USD fork, stainless steel rear muffler, clearly legible central instrument with gear indicator). Loncin clearly did a lot of things right in the conception and development of its Voge brand, aimed at the global market. In addition to the 300AC, there’s another Voge with a 300cc single-cylinder engine and four versions with 500cc twin-cylinders: the 500AC , the 500DS , the 500DSX, and the 500R. Plus a 125cc, a scooter, and a 650cc. It looks as if Voge is here to stay.
